- Someone found our site using the search term "what are the
fastest action table games in Vegas" and I thought it was worth
a special note; The fastest action common table game is without
a doubt Blackjack with an average of 65 hands an hour. The next
would be Craps which averages 60 rolls per hour (though not everyone
sees a decision on every roll there is at least one decision on
every roll). But (and you can ask any dealer about this) the pressure
for decisions is high across the board. The odds and the law of
large numbers favor the house, always, but by increasing the number
of hands dealt every hour and therefore the number of decisions
(remember a full Blackjack table will yield 7 decisions per hand)
the house is in effect increasing the handle and therefore increasing
it's earnings because table "hold" is figured on the handle.
If the odds are 1.93% in favor of the house (the pass line odds
at craps), this means that the house will hold an average of $1.93
of every hundred that is placed in action. Staying with the craps
example, if you have 20 players at the table each making a $10 bet
on each roll of the dice, then at 60 rolls per hour the house is
getting $12,000 action per hour, of which it should hold $231.60.
The only way to increase this are to 1) increase the average play,
2) increase the number of decisions per hour. |
